Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe is seeking an experienced Building Engineer Assistant to assist with maintenance of our luxury senior living community. You will handle routine tasks, respond to work orders, and interact with residents with a service-first mindset.

The role emphasizes hospitality, attentiveness, and reliability in daily operations. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of maintenance experience in similar settings and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in apartment, senior living, hotel or comparable setting.
• Proficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical ability.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Ability to work assigned shift which may include early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance as assigned including basic plumbing repairs, dry wall repairs, painting and general upkeep of the community and grounds
• Maintain upkeep of common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as needed
• Complete the apartment make ready process in an efficient and detail oriented manner
• Support resident needs by completing assigned maintenance work order tasks, assist with internal moves as needed
• Assist with special event set up and clean up as needed
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
