Job summary

David Yurman Short Hills is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee all store operations and, when needed, act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager. The role requires coordinating inventory controls, pricing, and client follow-up to support sales and profitability in a luxury retail setting.

The position emphasizes reconciling counts, controlling costs, and leading the sales support team while ensuring top-tier client service on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in an operational role within a customer service environment; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on motivating talent to achieve goals.
• Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and reconciling inventory counts and communicating discrepancies.
• Take necessary actions to control costs and ensure efficient operation in store.
• Perform inventory maintenance including movement, audits, shipping/receiving, RTVs and transfers.
• Utilize POS system and inventory management functions to maximize in-store efficiency.
• Partner with store management to implement new policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security and loss prevention policies.
• Manage repairs and timely client follow-up.
• Oversee price changes planning and execution.
• When acting as manager, handle opening and closing of the store.
• Manage, train, and develop the sales support team.
• Troubleshoot IT issues with corporate partners.
