Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a well-rounded Shift Engineer to join our luxury resort's engineering team. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, perform routine PMs, and respond to guest repair requests to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

As primary technical contact on shift, you will monitor central plant systems, coordinate with outside contractors, and uphold safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines and local codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in luxury hotel or resort engineering maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Active driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate effectively to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring all are in top working condition.
• Troubleshoot and execute basic to mid-level repairs on MEP systems including pumps, motors, and HVAC units.
• Handle maintenance of electrical systems including replacing switches, outlets, and setting up devices like TVs.
• Operate and manage all shut-off valves for equipment and building facilities.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for major repairs and improvements beyond routine maintenance.
