Job summary

Ocean Key Resort and Spa in Key West seeks a Sales and Catering Manager to lead catering and group event efforts in a luxury resort setting. You will manage inquiries, coordinate site inspections, and build strong client relationships to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.

The role collaborates with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure flawless events, with a focus on accurate BEOs, billing, and timely follow-up. Strong organization and vendor coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and event management, preferably in a luxury resort market.
• Ability to solicit, develop, and secure catering and group business aligned with hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to all catering and group event inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate site inspections, property tours, and client appointments with an organized calendar.
• Proactively solicit and secure catering and group business to meet revenue goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, planners, and partners to drive repeat business.
• Prepare and communicate accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with timelines and service requirements.
• Collaborate with culinary, banquet, F&B, and other departments to ensure seamless events.
• Coordinate third-party vendors and partners to meet client expectations and standards.
• Review events and billing documentation to ensure accuracy and approvals.
• Partner with Accounting to reconcile charges and monitor event revenue.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions to offer personalized recommendations.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
