Job summary

Rosewood Calistoga is seeking a Purchasing & Storeroom Supervisor to oversee daily storeroom operations, purchasing activities, and inventory management across food, beverage, and operating supplies. You will manage supplier relationships, cost controls, and ensure compliance with Rosewood standards while supporting the opening and ongoing operations of the resort.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of procurement, purchasing, inventory control, storeroom management or related hospitality experience.
• Luxury hotel or resort experience preferred.
• Food & beverage inventory management experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning and time-management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and BirchStreet Procurement or similar systems.
• Valid driver's license; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; suitable for storeroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing initiatives to secure products and services meeting quality, operational, and budget requirements.
• Assist with competitive bidding processes and supplier evaluations.
• Build and maintain relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Forecast inventory needs and coordinate with suppliers to meet operational demands.
• Review purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Expedite purchase orders and follow up on delayed deliveries.
• Oversee daily storeroom operations for food, beverage, operating supplies and paper goods.
• Maintain organized and secure storeroom facilities in accordance with standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Oversee inventory transactions, transfers and documentation.
• Establish and maintain inventory par levels with leadership.
• Ensure proper product storage, rotation and food safety compliance.
• Support periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Maintain data in BirchStreet and related systems; generate reports.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage leadership on purchasing strategies and cost management.
