THE TEAM

As part of the Procurement Division, this role plays a key role in supporting the efficient procurement, inventory control, and storeroom operations of Rosewood Calistoga. Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, you will collaborate closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Finance, Receiving, and operational departments to ensure products and supplies are sourced, stored, and distributed efficiently while supporting exceptional guest experiences.

YOUR ROLE

As Purchasing & Storeroom Supervisor with Rosewood Calistoga, you will oversee the daily operations of all hotel storerooms while supporting purchasing activities, inventory management, supplier relationships, and procurement processes. You will ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, cost control, and compliance with Rosewood standards, helping to drive operational efficiency and support the successful opening and ongoing operations of the resort.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Support sourcing initiatives to secure products and services that meet quality, operational, and budget requirements.
  • Assist with competitive bidding processes and supplier evaluations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality, service excellence, and timely delivery.
  • Forecast inventory needs and coordinate with suppliers to meet operational demands.
  • Review purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Expedite purchase orders and proactively follow up on delayed deliveries.

Storeroom Operations & Inventory Control

  • Oversee the daily operations of food, beverage, operating supply, paper goods, and general storerooms.
  • Maintain organized, secure, and well-maintained storeroom facilities in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Oversee inventory transactions, transfers, and documentation.
  • Establish and maintain inventory par levels in partnership with operational leadership.
  • Ensure proper product storage, rotation, and food safety compliance.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts and reconciliations.

Procurement Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate purchasing, vendor, pricing, inventory, and requisition data within BirchStreet Procurement and related systems.
  • Update ordering templates and guides to support operational departments.
  • Monitor procurement system integrity and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Produce and distribute purchasing, receiving, and inventory reports.
  • Assist with food cost reporting, inventory analysis, and operational reporting requirements.
  • Support Finance and Accounts Payable with documentation and reporting needs.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Support receiving and loading dock operations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, inventory procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in resolving inventory, receiving, and purchasing discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, credits, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify efficiencies and inventory control opportunities.
  • Partner with Culinary and Food & Beverage leadership to support purchasing strategies and cost management initiatives.

Leadership & Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to storeroom and receiving team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-focused work environment.
  • Assist with onboarding and training related to inventory procedures, procurement systems, and operational standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support departmental projects and operational initiatives as assigned.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory control, storeroom management, or a related hospitality function.
  • Luxury hotel or resort experience preferred.
  • Food and beverage inventory management experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to luxury hospitality standards and service excellence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with BirchStreet Procurement or comparable purchasing and inventory management systems preferred.
  • Basic accounting, inventory analysis, and procurement knowledge.
  • Understanding of inventory control best practices and purchasing procedures.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles, pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in storeroom, warehouse, kitchen, and loading dock environments.

PAY TRANSPARANCY

The hourly pay rate for this position is $36.75 per hour. This pay rate for the position that the company reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual compensation will be based on several factor, including experience, qualifications, skills, education, and internal equity.
