Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Security Manager to oversee daily security operations across a luxury condominium setting in Florida. You will manage staff, enforce safety programs, and respond to emergencies, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for residents, guests, staff, and service providers.

The role requires overseeing budgets, maintaining logs, training staff, and coordinating with Property Managers and authorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ClinSS (Certified Lodging Security Supervisor) program with AHLA within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Security D License.
• College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Two years’ experience managing Security department staff preferred.
• Security management in luxury properties preferred.
• Experience supervising 13+ people.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Security staff and short-term planning.
• Recommend and implement procedural changes and budget adherence.
• Monitor and operate electronic security and emergency systems; respond to emergencies.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming; uphold safety standards.
• Schedule bi-weekly staff workplans and ensure coverage during callouts.
• Conduct regular department meetings and liaise with Property Manager.
• Train staff on safety procedures and radio etiquette.
• Manage security budget to meet financial goals and minimize expenses.
• Coordinate with local and federal authorities as needed.
• Ensure security logs and forms are accurately maintained.
