Job summary

The Dermot Company, LP seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Wellington, FL property. This full-time, on-site role supports the community by performing varied maintenance tasks across apartments, common areas, and exterior spaces to ensure safety, aesthetics and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC and pool issues, with a goal of completing requests within 24 hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in building maintenance and mechanicals.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury multi-family properties or related role.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• EPA Section 608 certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days; HVAC certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Willingness to answer 24-hour maintenance emergency calls.
• Exceptional customer service and follow-through.
• Ability to handle competing priorities.
• Excellent references and steady employment history.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs, climb ladders, work around residents, and use reporting tech.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the property is maintained in pristine, safe condition per Dermot standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in apartment homes, common areas, and exterior.
• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Keep apartments move-in ready per Dermot guidelines.
• Maintain clean, safe surroundings and Dermot brand standards.
• Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Inspect mechanical systems and equipment for proper operation.
• Comply with Dermot policies, safety regulations and laws.
• Communicate with the maintenance team and report issues.
• Respond to emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain records.
• Participate in training and complete assigned tasks.
