Job summary

DM Estate Staffing is seeking a hands-on Property/House Manager for a private residence in Washington, DC. The role balances autonomous maintenance with high-touch hospitality when the Family is in residence.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in luxury property or private household management, strong technical skills across home systems, and exceptional vendor management. Must be discreet, with a valid US work authorization and references.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Property or House Management in private residential or luxury hospitality setting.
• Strong hands-on maintenance and repair skills across building trades.
• Highly independent, resourceful and proactive with minimal oversight.
• Excellent vendor management and negotiation abilities.
• Clear communication across time zones; respect for Family privacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular walk-throughs and monitor condition, systems, and security.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, network/AV, lighting and appliances.
• Plan preventative maintenance calendars and document operations.
• Undertake hands-on repairs and coordinate specialized vendors as needed.
• Source and manage contractors for landscaping, systems, security, pest control, etc.
• Coordinate repair/construction projects from proposal to completion.
• Manage vehicles, storage, and inventory; respond to emergencies.
• Provide hospitality support when Family is in residence; coordinate guests.
