Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks an experienced Housekeeper with yacht background to join a fully staffed, multi-residence estate in Fort Lauderdale. The role emphasizes high standards, teamwork, and discretion, with Sunday–Thursday shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years private household housekeeping with verifiable references, strong laundry skills, and comfort around pets. Start date ASAP; travel to another family property may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of private household housekeeping experience.
• Previous yacht Steward/Stewardess experience required.
• Experience in fully staffed private residences with verifiable references.
• Strong laundry, ironing, and garment-care skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing responsibilities.
• Comfortable around pets and able to travel to family properties if needed.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance across all residences.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness in bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, guest suites, and common areas.
• Complete deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance.
• Make beds, change linens, and iron household textiles.
• Prepare homes before arrivals and handle turnovers after departures.
• Maintain organization and inventory across all spaces.
• Provide formal service during meals and events; set and clear tables.
• Support hosting with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail; light pet support.
• Monitor household supplies and pantry; check expiration dates; assist with errands and event prep.
• Assist with holidays and special occasions; coordinate with staff.
