Merrill Gardens in San Jose, CA is seeking a compassionate Senior Living Caregiver to support residents with daily activities in a Montessori-inspired memory care community. You will promote dignity and independence through meaningful, hands-on engagement.

The role includes assisting with dressing, bathing, meals, and medications as permitted by state regulations, plus documenting progress and participating in a stable, family-owned environment.

Formación

• CNA certification or equivalent caregiving training.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR within 30 days.
• Experience assisting residents with activities of daily living.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed.

Our Caregivers:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

If you are someone with:

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
