Job summary

Grand Living at The Grove in Austin, TX is seeking a Line Cook to enhance the Resident experience through high-quality food production across stations. You will follow the guidance of the Executive Chef to meet luxury standards and ensure timely, courteous service.

The role requires a year or more in a fast-paced kitchen, with preference for scratch cooking and a strong command of English. Competitive benefits include PTO, insurance options, and a 401(k) match, in a high-end environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary Arts or Culinary Apprenticeship preferred.
• 1+ years in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred.
• Experience with scratch cooking preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to communicate with staff and Residents.
• Sufficient dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food across stations (meats, vegetables, breads, desserts).
• Maintain quality and quantity control for all prepared items.
• Model professional, courteous, and timely service as part of The Sterling Touch.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef and kitchen staff to ensure safety and cleanliness.
