Job summary

Salamander Collection in Middleburg, VA is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Housekeeping and Laundry, ensuring luxury standards. You will coach staff, manage schedules and payroll, and monitor quality to uphold Forbes 5 star and AAA 5 Diamond benchmarks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related roles, staffing, and strong communication; hospitality loyalty and a proven track record in high-end properties is preferred. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School graduate or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years minimum in a 5 Star or 5 Diamond luxury hotel preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operation of Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Assists with the compilation of schedules and managing of payroll.
• Promote team spirit and excellence in 5-star standards; coach and develop staff.
• Implements monitoring and scoring of teams to achieve luxury quality standards.
• Conducts regular inspections of the resort for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Coaches and counsels staff and leads department meetings.
• Manages operational expenses to maximize costs within budget/forecast.
• Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining inventories.
• Communicate effectively with guests and other departments.
• Attend daily line-ups and weekly Leadership Meetings.
