Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking a Receiving Clerk to manage non-food merchandise and guest packages at the loading dock, uploading daily scans, and issuing items through the campus software. This role supports purchasing and warehouse operations while upholding luxury standards.

You will handle returns, damaged items, outgoing mail and documentation, assist with furniture and inventory, and work under the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and related hospitality/receiving experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, issue and direct distribution of all non-food merchandise entering the loading dock.
• Properly receive, store, and issue guest packages; handle outgoing mail and packages.
• Call in returns or damage claims to vendors or freight companies and document status.
• Maintain purchasing receiving files and databases; assist with inventory and furniture movement.
