Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment across the property while delivering the guest experience with hospitality.

The role patrols interior and exterior areas, enforces safety policies, controls access, and responds to incidents. Candidates should have CPR/First Aid/AED, Alcohol Awareness, and 21+ years of age, with English proficiency and security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Alcohol Awareness certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Prior experience in security, loss prevention, military, or law enforcement preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property interior and exterior to monitor activity and enforce policies.
• Control access to restricted areas and respond to incidents promptly.
• Provide crowd control and manage scenes during events or emergencies.
• Gather incident details and prepare thorough reports.
• Escort guests, team members, and valuables when required.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and life safety procedures.
