Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for our Miami property. You will perform hotel security duties to ensure guest, staff, and property safety, while protecting assets and enforcing security policies.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of security experience, with fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus. The position is onsite at a premier downtown Miami hotel with a focus on ongoing vigilance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of security and safety experience.
• Fluent English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection to enforce security and safety procedures across public areas.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and coordinate with staff to safeguard guests and property.
• Maintain logs and records of incidents, losses, and access control.
• Assist in door security and guest room access; escort guests or staff as needed.
• Investigate loss or safety incidents and report to management and authorities.
• Provide training input on safety and security issues and participate in drills.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
