Job summary

The Joseph, Nashville’s Forbes Four-Star Luxury Collection hotel, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Engineering to lead the Engineering team alongside the Director of Engineering. You will oversee the daily maintenance and operation of the hotel's physical plant, guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and world-class guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, mentoring skills, and a track record of maintaining luxury

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive engineering or facilities maintenance experience in luxury hospitality.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within an Engineering or Maintenance department.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, BAS and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the Engineering department in line with Forbes Four-Star standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
• Ensure operation of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to engineering staff.
• Maintain CMMS to assign, track, and complete work orders.
