Job summary

Hotel Granduca Houston seeks a skilled bartender to craft cocktails and beverages for a discerning guest base, blending classic techniques with contemporary presentation. The role requires professionalism, strong guest focus, and a proactive, team-oriented approach in a luxury hotel setting.

You will manage inventory, follow health and safety standards, master the hotel’s beverage program, collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to develop signature drinks, and support servers and kitchen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in hotel, country club or fine dining environment.
• Thorough knowledge of POS systems (Toast) to process orders and payments.
• Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits and mixology, including recipes.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and food handling/safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Expertly prepare and present cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beverages according to hotel standards and guest preferences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of beverage trends and presentation techniques.
• Ensure drinks are served with proper garnishes and glassware reflecting hotel prestige.
• Develop signature cocktails and seasonal specials with the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
