Job summary

Mahler Private Staffing seeks an experienced Houseman/Caretaker/Handyman to support a private residence in Princeton, NJ. This hands-on role works with the Housekeeper to keep the home running smoothly, maintained to a high standard, and comfortable for residents.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, discreet, and able to manage routine maintenance, outdoor upkeep, and weekly reporting to the Director of Residences. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repair skills.
• Experience in private service or luxury hospitality preferred.
• Excellent verifiable references required.
• Comfort with tech and smart home systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily upkeep and readiness of the residence.
• Perform routine property maintenance and outdoor upkeep.
• Coordinate vendors and report issues promptly to the Director of Residences.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks and errands as needed.
• Ensure safety and comfort of home and occupants.
