Job summary

Auberge Collection seeks an Engineering Manager for our Hudson Valley retreat in New York to uphold luxury service and guest safety. You will work with the management team, oversee in-house mechanical and electrical maintenance, and guide a team of technicians to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, fire safety training, IT troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs and parts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, spa and pool utilities, and carpentry.
• Three years operating experience in the engineering department of a hotel or closely related industry. Luxury preferred.
• Experience maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Able to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays.
• English fluency; bilingualism appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Work as an active member of the management team and liaise with hotel operations.
• Provide in-house mechanical and electrical servicing, repair, and maintenance.
• Prioritize and complete maintenance requests efficiently.
• Develop, train, and supervise technicians per specifications.
• Oversee mechanical repairs, transportation, preventive maintenance, and landscaping teams.
• Ensure fire system operation and train staff on emergency protocol.
• Troubleshoot IT hardware issues.
• Act as the go-to in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Maintain equipment manuals, logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Process contractor purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner.
