Job summary

Saks Global is seeking a Server Assistant to support the dining room and service teams at our luxury locations in New York. You will maintain the dining room layout, restock supplies, and assist with food and beverage delivery per kitchen tickets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in food & beverage or upscale hospitality.
• Foundational knowledge of the proper order of service and luxury settings.
• Familiarity with basic culinary terms for kitchen-to-table communication.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work autonomously.
• Strong hospitality mindset and collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dining room layout and table upkeep per brand standards.
• Learn table numbers, seating charts, and server sections for floor navigation.
• Stock clean glassware, flatware, china, and linens during shifts.
• Assist with service stations, beverage areas, and side-work hubs.
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen to tables as tickets indicate.
• Coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams for seamless service.
• Assist with room setup and floor adjustments to accommodate guests.
• Participate in pre- and post-shift briefings and uphold luxury standards.
