Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in New York is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to guide customers through premium design and furniture selections, open/close the store, and support the sales team.

You will build relationships, maintain showroom standards, drive sales through client follow‑up, and participate in ongoing training, with uncapped commission and a monthly bonus along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail sales experience; shift supervision preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of the furniture industry is a plus.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and perform other duties in absence of management.
• Manage store opening/closing with keys and alarm code.
• Daily sales reporting to retail leadership.
• Oversee sales floor during high volume and support the sales team.
• Grow personal client base and drive store sales through follow-up.
• Collaborate with leadership to create customer experience initiatives.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain showroom design and visual standards.
