Job summary

Newman Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead luxury ground-up residential and commercial projects in South Florida. Based in North Miami Beach, you will supervise onsite teams, manage subcontractors, and drive projects from plans to turnkey turnover.

This full-time role requires at least 5 years of onsite supervision and a proven record on $1M+ projects. Proficiency reading blueprints and schedules is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on onsite construction supervision experience.
• Experience managing luxury residential projects with $1M+ values.
• Experience taking ground-up projects from blueprints to turnover.
• Ability to read blueprints, contract docs, and project schedules.
• Computer literacy to compile status reports and use project software.
• Residence in South Florida with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily onsite subcontractor activities to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage in-house trade personnel and labor with high workmanship standards.
• Oversee ground-up residential construction from plans to turnover.
• Submit daily and weekly project status updates to senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts.
• Assist in producing RFIs, change orders, schedules of values.
• Lead onsite owner-architect-contractor and trade alignment meetings for open communication.
