Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Complex Director of Beverage for Millennium Times Square in New York. You will oversee beverage outlets, drive revenue, and manage payroll and overhead costs while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as Director of Food and Beverage in a similar size operation (min 5 years).
• Experience in luxury/lifestyle hotel/resort background.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations and health and safety standards.
• Pre-opening experience a plus.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure profitability of the Food & Beverage department, maximizing revenue and controlling costs.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to create revenue opportunity through ongoing activations, beverage enhancements, and refreshed concepts.
• Collaborate with Sales on marketing, events, and catering opportunities to grow income stream.
• Maintain and improve beverage service standards with the objective of consistently meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
• Lead departmental managers in overseeing staff training and development, coach, and counsel when there is a need, in partnership with Human Resources.
• Monitor guest survey feedback relative to guest satisfaction with beverage offerings and develop corrective actions.
• Complete beverage menu analysis to remain market-relevant and profit-driven at all times.
• Monitor competitive bars and hotel banqueting to drive profitability.
• Handle all guest complaints, requests, and inquiries related to beverage service.
• Conduct monthly F&B meetings and daily briefings with outlet managers and supervisors.
• Identify and develop talents within the departmental colleagues for future growth opportunities.
• Lead by example with Highgate Hotels Values and Brand Standards.
• Perform other job duties and projects as directed.
