The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, RI is seeking a bartender who delivers The Chanler luxury service. You will mix drinks, showcase wine knowledge, and build authentic relationships with guests and staff while managing daily bar operations.

You are a team player, demonstrate excellent wine and spirits knowledge, and lift up to 30 lbs. You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a professional appearance and adherence to dress code.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bartender with wine and spirits knowledge.
• Ability to upsell and deliver high-level guest service.
• Professional appearance and-alignment with brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests per The Chanler luxury standard.
• Describe menu items, prep methods, and allergy alerts.
• Demonstrate extensive wine and spirits knowledge.
• Upsell food and beverages with service standards.
• Perform side work, stock bar, and set tables properly.
• May assist as host or back waiter when needed.
• Maintain alcohol serving certification.
• Follow policies and dress code; maintain professional appearance.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand up to 8 hours.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
