The Chanler in Newport, RI is seeking an experienced bartender to be a key contributor to our guest journey. You will blend spirits, demonstrate in-depth wine knowledge, and build authentic relationships with guests and staff as part of a dedicated hospitality team.

This luxury mansion setting requires a professional who can describe menu items, alert for allergies, upsell thoughtfully, and support bar operations with poise during nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bartender with knowledge of wine and spirits.
• Ability to upsell while maintaining service standards.
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide service following luxury standards.
• Describe menu items, prep methods, and allergy alerts.
• Maintain excellent wine and spirits knowledge.
• Upsell food and beverage items tactfully.
• Stock service station and perform side work pre/post shift.
• Assist as host or back waiter when needed.
• Adhere to company policies and dress code.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays.
