Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a professional bartender to deliver engaging service in a luxury hotel setting. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for bar setup, garnishes, upselling cocktails and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Requirements include 1 year bartending experience in a high-end venue, Ramp and Mixology certifications are assets, and excellent communication. The role offers competitive pay and benefits in a dynamic property.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, luxury property or high-end bar.
• Ramp Certification and Mixology certification are assets.
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in Point of Sale systems (POS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails offered.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service.
• Create a welcoming environment.
• Knowledgeable of wine & cocktails offered.
• Bar setup, tear down and preparation of garnishes and mixes.
• Stool and service bartending.
• Provide responsible service of alcohol.
• Assist guests with enquiries.
• Review daily reports, arrivals, VIPs and groups in house.
• Other duties as assigned.
