Job summary

The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Collection in Los Olivos, CA is seeking a Bartender to join our luxury resort team. You will curate beverage experiences, assist guests with drinks, and uphold the high standards of Auberge Resorts Collection.

Ideal candidates have bartending experience, knowledge of spirits, and a flexible schedule, including weekends. The role starts at $18.03 per hour and offers opportunities to upsell and contribute to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• One year of foodservice/hospitality experience as a bartender (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; works well in a fast-paced team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to obtain state/local certifications (food handler, alcohol training).

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with beverages and bar service in a timely, efficient manner.
• Engage with guests to assess beverage needs and preferences.
• Know menu drinks and standard offerings to recommend to guests.
• Maintain brand standards across bar and restaurant outlets.
• Contribute to F&B sales by upselling drinks, cocktails, and specials.
• Take and enter orders into Micros accurately and promptly.
• Prepare checks and process payments accurately.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment; keep bar clean.
• Keep bar well-stocked at all times.
• Follow food safety guidelines and safe handling procedures.
