Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to lead culinary execution for a luxury resort generating approximately $30 million in annual food revenue. You will oversee banquet production and a team of four culinary associates, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and organization across weddings, conferences, and corporate events.

Qualifications

• Experience leading banquet menus and culinary presentations.
• Ability to plan banquet production, staffing, and event execution.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, sanitation, and kitchen organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute banquet menus and culinary presentations to luxury standards.
• Direct all aspects of banquet production, preparation, plating, buffet presentation, and event execution.
• Review BEOs and coordinate culinary requirements, production timelines, staffing, and event needs.
• Lead, train, schedule, coach, and develop a team of four culinary associates.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, sanitation, and safety.
• Manage food and labor costs through purchasing, portion control, planning, waste reduction, and inventory.
• Partner with Sales and Events teams to accommodate customized menus and dietary restrictions.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef, Banquet Operations, Events, and F&B leadership for high-volume events.
• Assist with menu development, seasonal offerings, and culinary programming.
• Maintain a calm, organized approach during changing operational demands.
