Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Chef to lead all banquet and catering culinary operations, executing elevated cuisine for high-profile events in a luxury resort setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and hands-on kitchen work, driving quality and financial discipline in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and a background in luxury brands are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of Banquet experience and 5+ years of kitchen experience.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary fundamentals, including knife skills, butchery, sauces, and all kitchen stations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate multiple levels of employees.
• Knowledge of food industry, restaurants, and competitive markets.
• Basic knowledge of revenue management.
• Experience in luxury international brands preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Strong leadership, organization, and relationship skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead all banquet and catering culinary operations.
• Attend daily Banquet Event meetings to review culinary requirements.
• Ensure quality and presentation of all food products.
• Develop menus and manage BEO processes and plating requirements.
• Maintain compliance with F&B policies and safety standards.
• Coach, mentor, and develop banquet kitchen staff.
• Manage food cost, labor cost, and inventory to meet financial targets.
• Provide exceptional guest service and seamless banquet execution.
• Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth events.
• Oversee training and SOP compliance.
