Socket.dev is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles in our service department. The role emphasizes thorough troubleshooting, quality workmanship, and clear communication with customers.

Experience with German luxury brands and high-end dealerships is highly desirable, and candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced shop environment while upholding safety standards and detailed recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
• Experience as an automotive technician is beneficial; ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections per manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues and document findings.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and provide estimates.
• Assist with training junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
