Job summary

Lou Bachrodt BMW in Rockford, IL is seeking a BMW Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles using the latest BMW diagnostics.

You will handle repair orders, provide accurate estimates, and perform high-quality repairs across engine, suspension, brakes, and A/C, while maintaining a clean workspace and documentation. Training and growth in BMW technologies are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on automotive repair experience in a professional environment.
• Great mechanical, electrical, and computing skills.
• Possess a valid driver\'s license.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and carrying-out Repair Orders as dispatched.
• Performing diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs.
• Providing labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services.
• Performing high quality and efficient repair services for various automotive systems (engine, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Performing Quality Control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete.
• Completing all required paperwork and documentation for repair services.
• Maintaining organized, clean workspace and accounting for tools at all times.
• Communicating with Service Advisors and Parts Department Employees.
• Participating in BMW proprietary training/education programs to hone skills.
• Demonstrating behaviors consistent with employer values and Fix it Right the First Time.
