Job summary

Porsche West Houston, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a qualified Service Technician to service high-line vehicles in a luxury dealership setting. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to factory standards; harness test drives and communicate with advisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of high-line or German automotive repair experience in a dealership service environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair independently with limited supervision.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and manufacturer diagnostics.
• Must provide own tools and have a valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the USA; pre-employment checks including background, drug test and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC work.
• Take vehicles on test drives to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, filters, brakes, belts, and hoses.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluids, alignment.
• Identify safety concerns and communicate needed work to the service advisor.
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain required parts.
• Tag and file parts for warranty or customer requests.
