Job summary

Sonic Automotive’s BMW of West Houston, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver a luxury-brand customer experience and coordinate service operations. You will liaise between customers and technicians, ensuring accurate documentation, clear explanations, and timely vehicle service and repair execution.

Candidates should have 3+ years of luxury automotive Service Advisor experience, strong communication, and solid knowledge of automotive systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of luxury or high-line automotive Service Advisor experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and basic technical understanding.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with service department operations and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a luxury brand experience.
• Document vehicle issues accurately.
• Explain recommended services and repairs clearly to promote transparency.
• Identify maintenance opportunities to drive service revenue.
• Communicate estimated costs and obtain approvals; offer service packages when appropriate.
• Schedule appointments to optimize shop productivity.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Keep customers informed with timely updates and realistic repair timelines.
• Create and maintain detailed service records for warranty claims and future business.
• Explain invoices and upsells to customers.
• Contribute to department profitability through sales performance and margins.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage return visits.
