Singer Vehicle Design in Torrance, CA seeks a Paint Prep Technician to bring passion, precision, and problem-solving to restoring Porsche 911s into exceptional cars. Onsite role with a 1:45pm–10:15pm schedule and potential overtime; compensation includes a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of paint preparation experience on high-end or restoration cars.
• Experience with filing, sanding, grinding metals and composites.
• Able to achieve precise surface finishes before painting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• File, grind, mask, prep, and sand to exact standards.
• Apply primer and paint, conduct quality inspections.
• Inspect vehicles for flaws before painting.
• Prepare vehicles, mask areas not to be painted.
• Use hand and power tools to repair and align panels.
