Singer Vehicle Design in Torrance, CA is seeking a Bodywork Technician (Surfacing) for the 2nd shift to perform high‑quality paint repair, surface prep, and surfacing work on luxury Porsche restorations with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have at least five years of experience in high‑end automotive restoration, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with water‑based basecoats, 2K clears, and finishing processes. This onsite role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in high-end luxury automobile body surfacing.
• Experience applying and mixing water-based refinish basecoats, 2K refinish clearcoats and high film build primers.
• Color sanding experience and proficiency with finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality paint repair and production work.
• Perform high quality color sanding and polishing on repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Surface vehicles without supervision.
• Perform surfacing repair and production work including depression repair.
• Align body panels to gap and flush specifications.
• Shoot primer and surfacing primer without supervision.
