Qualifications

• Car dealership accounting experience is required.
• Proficiency with accounting software, CDK preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Understanding of payroll processes and related tax systems.
• Experience in vendor management and outsourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee office staff, including hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplining, terminating, etc.
• Oversight of accounting functions and related information
• Responsible for all aspects of the general ledger
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and monthly reports in a timely manner
• Understanding of the payroll process and related tax systems
• Oversees vendor management and outsourcing
• Complies with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filing
• Inspect accounting records and schedules for efficiency and accuracy
• Organize and update financial records
• Perform various monthly reconciliations
• Assist in preparing documentation for external auditors
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.
