Brobston Group in New York is seeking an Associate Buyer to drive development, selection, and management of North American assortments, balancing brand direction with regional client needs and commercial objectives.

You will develop seasonal assortments, manage tools and plans, analyze performance, and collaborate with planning, allocation, retail, wholesale, and cross-functional teams to optimize inventory and results.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or planning within luxury or premium fashion.
• Experience managing a category or meaningful portion of a business.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills, including knowledge of retail KPIs.
• Strong product sensibility, commercial understanding of the luxury client, and ability to turn business performance into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional partnership skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop seasonal assortments and store and regional recommendations based on financial objectives, client demand, and business performance.
• Manage buying tools, order entry, assortment plans, and seasonal recaps.
• Analyze sales, sell-through, inventory, weeks of supply, and product productivity; recommend reorders, replenishment, transfers, and stock consolidation.
• Partner with planning, allocation, retail, wholesale, and cross-functional teams to optimize inventory and business performance.
• Monitor market trends and competitive assortments, own category reporting, and present insights and recommendations.
• Support strategic initiatives and provide guidance to assistant buyers and junior team members.
