Job summary
Boston Inc dba Furniture & Appliance Mart/Ashley is seeking an Appliance Installation Technician to install luxury appliances with precision. You will conduct site surveys, perform built-in and freestanding installations, and ensure connections meet safety standards.
In this role, you will coordinate with customers and project managers, document work in our service software, and provide guidance on operation and care. Prior experience with Sub-Zero/Wolf/Thermador is a plus. Madison, WI area.
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of experience installing residential appliances, including built-in and panel-ready units.
- Knowledge of high-end brands (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, JennAir).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve installation challenges with minimal disruption.
- Accurate leveling, alignment, and secure connections.
- Skilled with installation tools, site surveys, and tight spaces; able to lift heavy appliances.
- Excellent communication and a customer-focused demeanor.
- Experience documenting work in service/delivery software.
Responsibilities
- Install high-end built-in and freestanding appliances to manufacturer specs.
- Perform site surveys to confirm installation readiness.
- Complete custom and built-in installs with precise fit.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers.
- Connect utilities safely and test appliances thoroughly.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide operating guidance.
- Document installations with photos in service software.
- Report issues to the Customer Experience team promptly.
