Job summary

Moda Operandi, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to join the Apparel team in a hybrid NYC-based role. You will support the buying team by managing POs, vendor onboarding, product setup, and cross-functional collaboration to drive Trunk Show and Boutique sales.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, fluent with systems, and passionate about luxury fashion. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Detail orientation and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders and reorders.
• Maintain item updates through full life cycle.
• Provide administrative support to RTW buying division.
• Support buying team across Trunkshow, Boutique, Marketplace/dropship.
• Manage trunkshow launch process and calendar.
• Analyze vendor performance and sales history for Market Prep.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and CMS setup.
• Help with product setup, imagery, editorial content, and copy templates.
• Monitor weekly uploads for product errors; update pricing, origin, and materials.
• Support launch checklists and calendars; maintain vendor database.
