Neiman Marcus in the United States is seeking a Tailor to perform alterations, resizing and restyling of merchandise across its luxury stores. You will assist fitters with fit, alterability, and quality of apparel, ensuring construction meets Neiman Marcus standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment preferred.
• Ability to read English and understand instruction from supervisors.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Alter garments to Neiman Marcus quality standards.
• Alter seams, shoulders, sleeves and lengths as required.
• Rotate sleeves and shorten sleeves as needed.
• Shorten backs, collars and shoulders to achieve proper fit.
• Shorten coats, re-line or adjust pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
