Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking an Alteration Staff member to join the tailoring team, delivering exceptional customer service and expert alterations for luxury merchandise. You will be responsible for fittings, evaluating fabric and construction, and executing alterations with precision.

The role requires at least 3 years of tailoring experience, with expertise in leather, knits, beading, and other specialty techniques. A strong customer-focus and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ fitting and tailoring experience.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments.
• Strong background in luxury alteration techniques (leather, knits, beading).
• Proficient with standard sewing, pressing and spotting equipment.
• Experience with specialty machines is a plus.

• Maintain a consistent high level of customer service by developing excellent relationships.
• Follow Saks Fifth Avenue policies and alteration procedures.
• Follow all alteration workroom policies and Tailor procedures.
• Utilize expertise to make alterations decisions during fittings.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience and maintain a safe workspace.
• Support company/store and department initiatives.
• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
