Qualifications

• Must read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have ability to read, write and follow directions to accomplish the job.
• Employee must maintain regular attendance.
• Must meet local health regulations, including drug screening, criminal background check and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Organize, clean and sort hotel linens, including sheets and towels.
• Load articles into dry-cleaning machines or washers.
• Regulate machine processes: adjust cycles, temperature and additives.
• Assist with cleaning of work areas and equipment to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Verify and tie articles in bundles for transporting to residents.
• Laundry work tends to be repetitive and requires standing for long periods.
• Lubricate equipment and change filters; notify supervisor for repairs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with supervisor and client staff.
• Adhere to health and safety rules and quality standards.
