Job summary

Golden Nugget Lake Charles is seeking a Golf Operator 1 to maintain the golf course grounds under the direction of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. You will operate turf equipment, perform mowing, edging, sod work, and assist with record keeping while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role emphasizes guest service, compliance with regulations, and teamwork within a prestigious resort setting on the golf course grounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of work experience in golf course maintenance operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized equipment for golf course maintenance.
• Deliver courteous, professional guest service in all interactions.
• Walk mow, fly mowing, tri-plex mowing and weed eating greens.
• Edge and sod laying.
• UTV operation and use of blower, rake, bunker rake, and sump pump.
• Keep golf course equipment, maintenance facility and grounds clean and organized.
• Assist with record-keeping for supplies, daily logs, and records.
• Stay informed on current best practices and share updates with management.
• Promote positive public and employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Safeguard confidential information and report ethical concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
