Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio seeks a Registered Nurse for its Medical ICU to ensure continually high-quality, efficient care. You will join a cohesive team that collaborates to support patient outcomes, while applying nursing processes and critical thinking to complex cases.

The unit features a 14-bed Lung Rescue ICU with ECMO capabilities and experienced leadership, offering orientation, mentorship, and development programs to help you grow as a critical care nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year of critical care experience as a licensed Registered Nurse preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Methodist Hospital to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. About the Unit:

• 14 bed Lung Rescue ICU
• Methodist's ECMO unit
• Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1
• Proficiency training for specialty equipment
• Experienced charge nurses and unit leadership

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
