Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System seeks a patient care tech to join the Madison area team. You will assist in initiating patient care, collect specimens, and prepare exam rooms while supporting physicians and families.

Prior phlebotomy and clinic experience are preferred, with CNA/LPN and BLS as desirable credentials. Excellent communication and teamwork will be essential as you adapt to a fast-paced environment and coordinate with a multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred certifications: CNA or LPN; BLS within orientation period.
• Experience: Phlebotomy experience and 1 year in a clinic setting preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team to provide continuity of and quality patient care.
• Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens.
• Provides patient education and support to assist physician, patient and family.
• Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.
