Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Lung Cancer Screening Program and related clinical operations.
  • Perform clerical duties that support overall program efficiency.
  • Receive, prioritize, and triage telephone calls.
  • Compose memos, reports, meeting minutes, and other documents as requested.
  • Assist with data entry, data management, and submission to registries.
  • Enter patient encounter information and follow-up schedules into the EHR.
  • Maintain records in an accurate, organized, and timely manner.
  • Create reports and perform record-keeping functions as requested.
  • Promote communication and education between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Escalate ongoing issues to the Service Line Coordinator.
  • Track and manage patient referrals, appointments, scheduling, and authorizations.
  • Plan and participate in community education events and health fairs.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and provide support throughout the screening process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Lung Cancer Screening Patient Representative will provide administrative support to the Lung Cancer Screening Program, Clinical Operations, and clerical assistance. This individual will work to improve coordination of patient care, help patients navigate the healthcare system, reduce barriers when possible and support achievement of program deliverables through various resources. This position will require the ability to interact with personnel as well as outside agencies and patients, the ability to act independently to carry out duties and responsibilities of the job without specific supervision by people or procedure, and the aptitude to establish work priorities to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Lung Cancer Screening Program and related clinical operations.

Education

Minimum Work Experience
  • At least one (1) year of experience working in a clinic or hospital setting.
