Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Radiology - Epidemiology Research Team (ERT) Lung Cancer Screening Group seeks a Social/Clinical Research Assistant. The role supports study protocol execution, including screening, recruitment, visits, and data entry, with primary responsibility for EHR abstraction from collaborating facilities.

The position emphasizes documentation, QC/QA, data issue reporting, literature reviews, and collaboration with the team; 40-hour weeks, Monday–Friday,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Preferred candidates will have experience using Epic and REDCap.

Responsibilities

• Documenting study-related processes and procedures including development of SOPs as needed
• Developing and implementing quality control and quality assurance procedures for data collection tasks
• Generating reports and critically evaluating data for quality purposes
• Documenting and reporting data issues to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Developing and implementing corrective action plans for data issues in a timely manner
• Performing literature reviews and searches
• Communicating with team members and collaborating facilities in a professional, efficient, effective, and timely manner at all times
• Participating and presenting in study team and Epidemiology Research Team meetings
