Job summary

Perrysburg Exempted Village School District is seeking an Anticipated Cafeteria Monitor for Fort Meigs Elementary to supervise students during lunch and support a clean, safe cafeteria environment. The role is 3 hours per day (11:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday–Friday) with a 183-day contract and a pay rate of $16.55 per hour, as posted.

Responsibilities include enforcing school policies, guiding student behavior, sanitizing tables, and coordinating with custodial staff and administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Clear criminal background with BCII/FBI checks.
• Self-directed and able to learn quickly.
• Ability to manage students in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation.
• Conscientious with good attendance.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students.

Responsibilities

• Monitors students during lunch to ensure safety and welfare.
• Enforces school policies and procedures with students in the cafeteria.
• Washes and sanitizes tables between lunch lines and rearranges chairs as needed.
• Moves around the cafeteria to supervise students and ensure coverage.
• Reports incidents to appropriate personnel and assists with follow-up as directed.
• Follows district crisis plan protocol to respond to emergencies and maintains privacy of information.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/administrator.
