Job summary

Augusta Elementary is seeking a Substitute Lunch Monitor for the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves supervising students during lunch periods, both indoors in the cafeteria and outdoors during recess, approximately 2 to 2.5 hours per day. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

The position supports student supervision, safety, and smooth lunch operations. Reporting incidents and maintaining attendance are part of the duties, with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher
• Satisfactory completion of Background Checks standard for school volunteers and school employees
• Satisfactory completion of required training standard for school employees

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria, in designated recess areas, and hallways
• Provide various assistance to students based on individual needs
• Report accidents, events, and/or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor
• Maintain regular attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in professional development activities and/or training as required or needed for this position
